Power Athletics LLC, one of the largest top-rated training facilities in the Chicagoland area, trains, monitors, and enhances sports performance for athletes, regardless of their sport of choice and overall level of experience.
Our mission is to provide athletes with the proper training, education, and planning necessary to develop or improve their skills, performance, and most importantly, produce transparent results.
We utilize the most effective and innovative training methods designed to increase core strength, endurance, speed, agility, and explosive performance.
Our Adult Fitness classes represent a combination of cardio, interval, and strength training in a group environment to symbolize the concept of a team environment. Each session is one hour or 60 minutes in duration and ensures participants are pushed harder compared to doing it on their own. The workouts are fun, challenging, and never the same! Our professional and experienced trainers provide each participant with the proper attention, guidance, encouragement to not only generate positive results but also help reach their own individual objectives as part of the class.
We are in need of a Personal Trainer / Group Fitness Instructor and are looking for the most qualified candidate to start as soon as possible.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate various exercises, methods, and routines
- Monitor technique to minimize injury and maximize performance
- Recommend alternative exercises based upon specific level of fitness and skillset
- Evaluate progress and update program as necessary
- Understand, explain, and strictly enforce rules and regulations in conjunction with sports, recreational activities, and use of exercise equipment.
- Provide valuable information and "go-to" resources for nutrition, weight control, and lifestyle concerns

Qualities:
Customer Service. Our members represent the most valuable asset in our organization. You must treat everyone, regardless of the circumstances, with respect and appreciation.
Listening. Most people fail to understand listening is more important than speaking. You must be attentive to client needs and be able to efficiently accommodate them, within reason.
Motivation. Some clients often "hit a wall" and want to give up. You must demonstrate strong motivational skills, even if that requires "thinking outside of the box."
Physical Fitness. We, unlike many companies out there, actually practice what we preach. You must be in good physical condition yourself in order to lead or participate in the class and effectively provide recommendations to someone else.
Problem Solving. We may not immediately have the answer to every member's question, concern, or goal. You must proactively conduct the research necessary to efficiently develop a solution that makes sense.
Communication. We must be able to interact with current clients, potential new clients, fellow service providers, and all others we may come in contact with during the day. You must have acceptable verbal and written communication skills to succeed in our organization.
Requirements:
- H.S. Diploma AND related experience - working with adults/kids, between 8 and 18 years old
- CPR and AED certifications - not required, but a MAJOR plus
- Flexible schedule - mornings, afternoons, evenings, and/or weekends
All information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.
You must have a legal right to work in the United States.
We appreciate the interest of every candidate but only those with the appropriate qualifications and experience will be contacted for an interview.
