SUMMARY: The Transportation Manager is responsible for overseeing the transfer operations. The role will require management efforts to ensure on-time execution, fleet maintenance and communications with the driving team and other departments as needed.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Lead a team of CDL & Non CDL drivers through any challenges that occur on shift.
- Supervise all aspects of the KSI fleet, including driver, fleet, and compliance management.
- Liaison with the operations team to ensure fleet meets operations KPIs.
- Maintains strict compliance with DOT and FMCSA rules and regulations.
- Verify and maintain HOS and DVIR program for the KSI fleet.
- Communicates with management on service or performance issues.
- Travel for training of new employees (Travel is required)
- Responsible for timecards, vacation approvals, and conducting performance reviews.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3-5 years’ experience in transportation.
- Excellent verbal, written, and auditory communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to plan and organize workload; flexibility to handle pressure and work with interruptions and meet deadlines
- Ability to work well in a team environment and collaborate with others.
- Ability to remain professional and courteous in challenging situations.
- Ability to work flexible hours as needed
