Overview:
The Licensed Therapist at LGTC is responsible for delivering comprehensive Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) services to adult clients in a hybrid (virtual and in-person) setting. This role includes providing individual therapy, facilitating DBT skills groups, participating in consultation team meetings, and offering phone coaching support.
This role is based at our San Carlos location.

Duties:
Individual Therapy & Clinical Care
- Provide DBT-adherent individual therapy sessions
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment goals as needed
- Provide psychoeducation to support client understanding and skill development
Group Therapy & Programming
- Facilitate DBT skills groups within an Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) setting
- Maintain fidelity to DBT curriculum and therapeutic structure
- Encourage client engagement and skill utilization during group sessions
Documentation & Compliance
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards
Team Collaboration & Professional Development
- Participate in weekly DBT consultation team meetings
- Engage in clinical supervision and case consultations
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary treatment team to ensure coordinated care
Qualifications:
- Graduate degree in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling, or a related field
- Active license to practice psychotherapy in the state of California (e.g., LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, PsyD, PhD)
- Minimum of 1 year of experience providing DBT in individual and/or group settings
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with individuals diagnosed with Borderline Personality Disorder
Preferred Qualifications:
- Completion of Marsha Linehan’s Behavioral Tech Institute foundational or intensive DBT training
- Experience working in Intensive Outpatient (IOP) or Partial Hospitalization (PHP) levels of care
- Experience working within a multidisciplinary treatment team
