Job Summary
The Clinical Therapist is responsible for providing counseling to Eden’s Glory-Foster Kairos clients. This is accomplished by providing trauma-informed, evidence-based, and strengths-based therapy to clients, coordinating with Clinical Director on clients, and partnering with the Clinical Director to pursue growth of the program.
Compensation: $22 hr / 20 hours a week
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assures a therapeutic environment for clients, including client rights, dignity, respect, privacy, education, and participation in program initiatives.
- Creates an environment conducive to client growth utilizing client-centered, strengths-based, and problem-solving approach through a trauma-informed lens.
- Implement a multi-faceted treatment planning process & documentation according to accreditation standards or board approved policy & procedure.
- Provide individual therapy to minors at risk of trafficking or who are survivors of human trafficking.
- Lead therapeutic groups for minors on info such as safe people, coping skills, assertiveness training, etc.
- Assist in parent trainings to caregivers on information such as trauma-informed care, internet safety, de-escalation, etc.
- Provide care and support to parents through check-ins and updates.
- Collaborate with outside organizations to facilitate growth of Foster Kairos.

- Pursues opportunities and annually attends a minimum of 15 Continuing Education Units, assuring topics related to the work at Eden’s Glory.

Skills
Demonstrates organizational, verbal, interpersonal, customer relations, mathematical, analytical, grammar/spelling, reading/comprehension of written instructions, ability to follow verbal instructions, and computer skills.
Job Knowledge
Knowledge of local/global human trafficking issues including common processes, prevalence, legal processes, networks of stakeholders, and appropriate interventions.
Education/Experience
- Master’s degree required
- Licensed in appropriate mental health field i.e. LCSW, LPC, LMFT, LMHC, etc.
- Previous exposure/work related to the field of human trafficking, social service, clinical therapy, or other related human services.
