Locums Outpatient Internal Medicine Physician — MD/DO

Join a rewarding outpatient Health clinic in Siletz, Oregon, for a locums-to-permanent Internal Medicine opportunity. This position offers a flexible schedule, manageable patient volume, and the opportunity to provide meaningful care to Tribal members and the surrounding community.
Position Highlights
- Locums-to-Perm: Initial 13-week assignment with permanent consideration
- Credentialing: Approximately 4 weeks
- Licensure: Any active, unrestricted U.S. state physician license accepted
- Setting: 100% outpatient Tribal Health clinic
- Schedule: Flexible 4- or 5-day workweek
- Four 10-hour shifts, or
- Five-day schedule totaling 40 hours per week
- Patient Volume: Approximately 16 patients per day
- Holidays: Clinic closed on Tribal holidays
- Same-day acute appointments primarily for established patients
- After-hours telephone consultation may occasionally be required
Physician Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive outpatient Internal Medicine services
- Diagnose and manage acute and chronic conditions
- Conduct physicals, wellness visits, and preventive screenings
- Manage diabetes and other chronic diseases
- Provide women’s health and family-planning services as appropriate
- Administer or order CDC-recommended immunizations
- Provide medication-assisted treatment (MAT) when appropriately trained
- Order and interpret laboratory and diagnostic studies
- Coordinate specialty and radiology referrals
- Perform minor outpatient procedures within training and privileges
- Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation
- Collaborate with pharmacy, behavioral health, nursing, and clinical support teams
Procedures May Include
- Skin biopsies
- Toenail removal
- Pap smears
- Nexplanon insertion and removal
- Steroid, joint, and trigger-point injections
- Wound care
- Other minor outpatient procedures
Required Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Active, unrestricted physician license — any U.S. state
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Internal Medicine
- Active DEA registration
- Current BLS certification
- Outpatient primary care experience
- Commitment to culturally responsive, patient-centered care

- NextGen EMR
- Medication-assisted treatment (MAT)
- Experience providing a broad range of outpatient services
