Direct Support Professional (DSP)
Compensation: $21.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday | 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

We are looking for a compassionate, reliable, and experienced Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide personalized support to two highly functional adults with developmental disabilities who maintain active employment.
This position is ideal for someone who is very patient, respectful, and committed to work with highly functional individuals who have challenging behaviors. The ideal candidate remains professional in all situations, exercises good judgment, and builds positive, supportive relationships.
A valid Maryland driver's license is required for this position.
Key Responsibilities
- Drive individuals to medical appointments, work, recreational activities, and other community destinations.
- Provide person-centered support with daily routines and independent living skills.
- Help with household responsibilities such as meal preparation, housekeeping, laundry, and organization.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming home environment.
- Promote participation in social, educational, and recreational opportunities.
- Utilize positive behavior support techniques to encourage appropriate behaviors and address challenges.
- Complete accurate documentation, including daily service notes, medication records, and incident reports.
- Monitor the health, safety, and overall well-being of the individuals receiving services.
- Communicate any concerns, incidents, or changes in condition promptly to supervisors.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of experience providing direct support to individuals with developmental or intellectual disabilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Dependable, compassionate, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
Required Certifications & Training
- CPR and First Aid Certification
- Certified Medication Technician (CMT)
- Bloodborne Pathogens Training
- MANDT Training
- Maryland DDA Core Training
- Maryland driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
Pay: $21.00 per hour
