Responsibilities of a Server/ Cashier:
As a Server/Cashier, you will be responsible for greeting and connecting with guests, educating customers on our menu, making recommendations based on the customer's preferences, taking orders, up-selling special items, and keeping the facility clean and stocked. In addition, you will need to deliver guest orders, ensuring that orders are prepared to their satisfaction.
Qualifications:
The ideal candidate should have excellent customer service skills and knowledge of the menu and flow of the restaurant.
Mental and Physical Abilities:
The physical demands of this job include standing, occasional periods of sitting, and walking, as well as some physical effort associated with lifting and carrying objects weighing less than 30 lbs. Candidates must also be able to stoop, lift, squat, and bend.
Working Conditions:
Food Runners work in kitchen areas, which are well-lit but can be hot and noisy. They are exposed to steam, fumes, and odors from cooking and to extreme temperature changes when entering walk-in refrigeration or freezing units. There is also a risk of slipping on wet floors that have been recently mopped or where food has been spilled. Food Runners face the potential for cuts from knives and burns from steam, hot foods, stoves, and hot grease and water. Candidates should be able to work some weekends and day hours for special projects.
