We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Preschool Teacher to join our vibrant educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a nurturing and stimulating environment for young learners. This role involves creating engaging lesson plans, promoting literacy education, and supporting the overall development of children in a Christian school setting.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that promote literacy education and early intervention strategies.
- Foster a positive classroom environment that encourages social, emotional, spiritual, and physical development.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively, ensuring a safe and respectful learning atmosphere.
- Provide individualized based on their unique needs and learning styles.
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and address any concerns regarding child welfare.
- Maintain accurate records of student progress, attendance, and assessments.
- Engage in continuous professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.
- Attend monthly staff meetings, and meet NYS requirements for Professional development hours
Experience
- Previous experience working with students in a preschool or childcare setting is preferred.
- Strong understanding of classroom management techniques tailored for young children.
- Teaching certificate or CDA certificate in early education is required.
- Demonstrated ability to create engaging activities that cater to diverse learning needs.
