Valex is looking for a Cost Estimator to join its Engineering team in Ventura, CA. The successful candidate will rely on their technical and communication skills, while organizing and utilizing all tools available, for estimating costs for new products and special requests for sales and engineering objectives. You will use ERP software to research and setup parts, will work with planning and outside suppliers to obtain costs, and will work with production to determine feasibility.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or an equivalent amount of knowledge gained from prior and related positions. This position may require some basic Solidworks and AutoCAD use, so experience with this would be preferred. Most importantly, the successful candidate will be resourceful and have the ability to learn quickly and retain knowledge. Excellent written and verbal communication skills is a must.
This is a regular, hourly, non-exempt position with a hourly pay range of $26.00 to $30.00 DOE. Must be able to work in the USA without company sponsorship.
All candidates must successfully complete post-offer, pre-employment drug testing, physical evaluation (depending on position), criminal background check, and verification of previous employment and education.
Pay: $26.00 - $32.00 per hour
