Preschool Teacher/Assistant Montessori Guide
Bishop Baraga Academy is seeking a warm, dependable, and energetic Preschool Teacher/Assistant Montessori Guide to join our Catholic Montessori community.
This position supports the Lead Montessori Guide while helping manage the classroom’s daily routines, maintaining a peaceful and orderly learning environment, and engaging meaningfully with children. The ideal candidate enjoys working as part of a team, values hands-on learning, and is eager to grow in Montessori methods.
Responsibilities include:
- Supporting Montessori lessons, activities, and classroom routines
- Encouraging independence, concentration, Grace and Courtesy
- Actively supervising and engaging with children
- Helping maintain prepared indoor and outdoor environments
- Supporting meals, rest, toileting, transitions, and classroom care
- Monitoring and responding to Brightwheel and Connecteam communication
- Following all BBA policies and Michigan childcare licensing requirements
Montessori experience is helpful but not required. Training and coaching will be provided. Applicants should demonstrate patience, professionalism, strong communication, reliability, and a commitment to helping children grow in faith, confidence, and joy.

Pay: $15.00 - $18.50 per hour
