This position is located at our North Central Mounds View location. Mounds View is part of the Twin Cities gateway, which sits at the juncture of I-35W and Mounds View Boulevard. The city is surrounded by Blaine, Arden Hills, New Brighton, Fridley, and Spring Lake Park. Mounds View is home to Silver View Park and the Mounds View Historical Society Museum.
Position Description:
As a Truck Upfit Technician, you play a crucial role in the preparation and installation of work truck and van equipment and accessories such as toolboxes, ladder racks, lighting, snowplows, lift gates, and tow products. This position will also perform repairs to van and truck equipment and accessories.
This position has a wage range of $22 - $26 hourly.
This position is eligible for our Tech Incentive

Essential Functions
- Installation: installation of equipment and accessories for work vans as well as medium and light duty trucks
- Inspections & Maintenance: perform DOT inspections upon certification, maintain an organized work area, and assist with other duties as assigned
- Compliance & Company Values: ability to work overtime during peak season, adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety standards, and uphold company values

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Mechanical, technical, and fabrication skills
- Electrical/electronic systems and hydraulics knowledge
- Excellent time management skills and attention to detail
- Knowledge of safety protocols and best practices for vehicle maintenance and repair
Required Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Knowledge of electrical/electronic systems and hydraulics
- Valid Class D Driver’s License
- Basic Tool set
Preferred Experience:
- 2+ years of related post-secondary education with 1+ years of related experience
- 3+ years of related experience in leu of education
- Forklift experience
- Previous lift truck repair and welding experience
- Knowledge of various types of testing equipment
