Overview
We are seeking a reliable and motivated Delivery Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for transporting goods to various locations while ensuring timely and safe delivery. The ideal candidate will have experience in commercial driving and possess strong organizational skills to manage deliveries efficiently. You will play a vital role in maintaining customer satisfaction through excellent service.
Responsibilities
- Load and unload products from the vehicle, ensuring safe handling and storage.
- Operate box trucks or vans for deliveries, adhering to all traffic laws and safety regulations.
- Navigate routes effectively to ensure timely deliveries while managing schedules efficiently.
- Utilize equipment such as pallet jacks for moving heavy items when necessary.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure they are in good working condition.
- Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including logs of mileage, fuel usage, and delivery confirmations.
- Communicate with warehouse staff regarding loading procedures and any issues encountered during deliveries.
- Provide exceptional customer service while delivering goods, addressing any questions or concerns from clients.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Delivery Driver or in a similar role is preferred.
- Ability to operate manual transmission vehicles is a plus.
- Familiarity with warehouse operations and logistics processes is advantageous.
- Strong physical stamina for heavy lifting and long hours on the road.
- Excellent driving skills with a clean driving record.
- Proficient in using navigation tools and apps for route planning.
- Strong communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
