We are seeking a passionate, energetic, and faith-centered Kindergarten Teacher to join our private Christian kindergarten. The successful candidate must have a Bachelor's Degree in Education or ECE associates degree and be committed to providing a nurturing, Christ-centered learning environment where children grow academically, socially, emotionally, and spiritually. This is a paid position offering the opportunity to make a lasting impact during a child's foundational years.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement engaging curriculum plans aligned with early childhood education standards while integrating Christian values and biblical principles.
- Create age-appropriate lesson plans that promote literacy, numeracy, creativity, physical development, and social-emotional growth.
- Foster a safe, caring, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages curiosity and a love of learning.
- Use educational technology and Learning Management Systems (LMS) to enhance instruction and monitor student progress.
- Manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement and effective conflict resolution strategies.
- Assess student progress regularly and adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning needs.
- Collaborate with parents, colleagues, and specialists to support each child's academic and developmental success.
- Support students with diverse learning needs, including implementing Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) and Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) where applicable.
- Maintain accurate records of student development, attendance, assessments, and compliance with school policies.
- Model Christian character and support the mission and values of the school.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Education (required), ECE or equivalent years of experience.
- Valid teaching qualification/licensure as required by local regulations.
- Previous experience teaching preschool or kindergarten-aged children.
- Strong understanding of early childhood development and best teaching practices.
- Ability to develop engaging lesson plans and deliver effective instruction.
- Experience using educational technology and LMS platforms is an advantage.
- Knowledge of classroom management, assessment strategies, and early childhood educational standards.
- Experience supporting children with special educational needs is desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- A commitment to Christian education and willingness to uphold the school's Christian mission and values.
- Montessori training or certification is preferred but not required.
