We are seeking a dynamic and bilingual (Spanish-English) Forklift Operator to join our vibrant warehouse team! Duties
- Operate various types of forklifts including reach trucks, lift trucks, clamp trucks, Hi-Lo forklifts, pallet jacks, and barcode scanning equipment to load, unload, and transport materials safely within the warehouse.
- Manage inventory by accurately picking orders using order picker equipment and ensuring proper placement and storage of goods.
- Conduct routine inspections and basic repairs on equipment to ensure optimal performance and safety compliance.
- Follow warehouse safety protocols including OSHA standards and forklift safety procedures to prevent accidents and injuries.
- Assist with shipping & receiving tasks by verifying shipments against documentation, recording inbound/outbound items in the warehouse management system (WMS), and maintaining accurate inventory records.
- Support warehouse distribution activities by organizing materials for shipment or storage, utilizing manual handling techniques for heavy lifting when necessary.
- Use barcode scanning technology for logistics tracking, order picking accuracy, and inventory control to streamline operations.
Skills
- Proven experience operating warehouse material handling equipment such as reach trucks, forklifts (including lift trucks and Hi-Lo), clamp trucks, pallet jacks, and order pickers.
- Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS), inventory management practices, and shipping & receiving procedures.
- Familiarity with warehouse safety standards including OSHA regulations and forklift safety protocols.
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks involving heavy lifting with proper technique to ensure safety.
- Excellent communication skills in both Spanish and English to coordinate effectively with team members and supervisors.
- Basic math skills for inventory counting, measurements, and data entry accuracy.
- Experience in warehouse supervision or managing warehouse operations is a plus but not required.
- Knowledge of barcode scanning for logistics tracking enhances efficiency in order picking and inventory control.
