Job Overview
We have 2 part-time positions available, with flexible shifts that may change from week to week, approximately 2-7 nights/week. A Night Shift Dog Boarding Attendant has 2 available shifts of:
1.) 5:30-11pm
2.) 11pm-7am
The ideal candidate will have a background in working with dogs, and want to provide lots of loving care for dogs of all breeds and sizes, and treat them as your most treasured family pet.
The dogs do not sleep in kennels. They will be sleeping on dog beds or on couches upstairs and/or downstairs. You will be keeping the dogs in a safe environment at all times. There will be some cleaning involved. There will be accidents to clean up. There will be daily general cleaning to maintain the cleanliness of the areas. There will be laundry duties (towels and mats) and cleaning of the dog bathing stations. There will be feeding and washing everything used to dispense treats and meals.
The #1 job is ensuring the well-being of the dogs in our care.
Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively a summary of the dogs' nighttime behaviors with your team.
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for both dogs and staff.
- Provide ONLY positive reinforcement when working with the dogs under our care.
- Encourage all dogs boarding to have a peaceful night of sleep with a quiet and mostly dark space .
Experience
- Proven experience in dog boarding/daycare
- Night shift experience
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.61 - $20.00 per hour
