Job Description:
Our Chesapeake, VA team has an immediate need for an Senior Shipboard Technician/IT Technician 3 with demonstrated experience providing tier 2/3 infrastructure support for enterprise-level networks.
This position is on site at Navy Bases, Naval Shipyards, and onboard Navy ships. There are no remote or hybrid opportunities available.
Travel, both domestic and international is required.
Primary responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Serve as subject matter expert for issues that arise on Windows-based enterprise networks
- Respond to and update trouble calls using the NESD ticketing system
- Troubleshoot and analyze issues to determine and execute appropriate repair activities that will return equipment, system, or network to proper operational status
- Lead or serve as a member of a team to conduct new installations and/or life cycle upgrades for shipboard IT networks
- Work with shipboard personnel and/or other network support vendors to resolve computer network issues
- Prepare and submit daily work reports
- Respond to queries for ad hoc data and network configuration and inventory reports
- Be able to cross train in different shipboard class IT systems
Education and Certification Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Active secret clearance
- SEC+ or equivalent
Other Requirements
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs
- Employees will be required to provide their own PPE (Hard Hats, reflective Safety vest) while working in a shipyard environment.
- Ability to travel both domestic and internationally

The anticipated salary range for this role is $78,000 to $82,000 annually. The anticipated salary range for this position is provided in accordance with applicable pay transparency laws. The final starting salary will be determined based on a variety of job-related factors, including the selected candidate's qualifications, skills, relevant experience, education, certifications, and work location (where applicable), as well as internal equity and market considerations.
