Job Overview
We are seeking a reliable and skilled Truck Driver to join our transportation team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for transporting goods safely and efficiently to various locations while adhering to all safety regulations and company policies. This position requires strong driving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage routes effectively.
Responsibilities
- Local - charlotte dedicated customer/broker freight.
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.
- Maintain accurate logs of driving hours, vehicle maintenance, and delivery schedules.
- Navigate assigned routes effectively, utilizing GPS and maps as needed.
- Ensure proper handling of all equipment provided.
- Adhere to all traffic laws and company policies while on the road.
- Communicate with dispatchers regarding route changes or delays.
Requirements
- Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with a clean driving record
- Minimum of 2 years CDL Driving experience
- Manual Transmission experience required - All Assets are 10 speeds
- Proven experience in truck driving, preferably with knowledge of route driving and freight handling.
- Familiarity with operating manual transmission vehicles is preferred.
- Experience with flatbed trucks or refrigerated trailers is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent time management skills to meet delivery deadlines.
- Must be able to pass background checks and drug screenings as required by company policy.
