To further our mission, we are looking for a Housing Stabilization Program Manager.
JOB SUMMARY
Responsible for the administration and management of the Housing Stabilization Mortgage and Homeowner Programs which focuses on the goal of helping clients with home repairs, home purchases, and avoiding foreclosure or loss of their current residence.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Supervise a team of 4-6, responsible for:
- processing of WHRP, URA HAP, United Way SHIP, 1st HOME Allegheny, Penn Hills HAP, Inglis Accessible Modification Program, and Allegheny County Lead Safe Homes applications
- performing property inspections
- assisting with contracts
- providing client/partner communications.
- Establish relationships with community organizations, government offices, funders, and contractors to address the needs of homeowners in Allegheny County.
- Provide oversight of multiple funding streams administered by ACTION‑Housing.
- Responsible for the maintenance of current data and statistics pertaining to programs and clients.
- Compile monthly funding source reports and submit as required.
- Market agency programs to individuals directly and through civic, religious, government, institutions, and corporate organizations.
- Train internal staff and staff of partner organizations on programs.
- Complete continuing education requirements and obtain required certificates.
- All other duties as assigned.
JOB REQUIREMENTS AND EXPERIENCE
- A bachelor’s degree with one (1) year of relevant experience, or three (3) years’ experience in mortgage services and residential home construction required.
- Knowledge of residential home construction and ADA home improvement guidelines required.
- Understanding of financial and credit reports required, including mortgage products and collection techniques.
- General understanding of FHA, Fannie Mae (DU), and Freddie Mac (LP) underwriting standards.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and internet navigation required.
- A valid driver’s license and insured vehicle.
- Local travel required.
