Healing Space Therapy Collective is seeking a compassionate, motivated, and identity-affirming graduate student to join our practice as a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern for an upcoming practicum or internship placement.
Our practice specializes in providing high-quality psychotherapy to adolescents, adults, couples, and families, with particular expertise in anxiety, trauma, relationships, sexuality, identity exploration, and LGBTQIA+ affirmative care. We are committed to creating a warm, collaborative, and inclusive environment where both clients and clinicians can thrive.
As an intern, you will receive:
- Individual and group clinical supervision and mentorship
- Experience providing psychotherapy in a supportive private practice setting
- Exposure to evidence-based treatment approaches, including CBT, mindfulness-based interventions, and relational therapies
- Opportunities to work with diverse clients, including individuals and couples
- Training in documentation, ethics, telehealth, and private practice operations
- A collaborative and supportive team environment dedicated to professional growth
Qualifications
- Currently enrolled in an accredited master's program in Clinical Mental Health Counseling or a closely related counseling program
- Eligible to begin practicum or internship through your university
- Strong interpersonal skills, professionalism, and eagerness to learn
- Passion for providing culturally responsive, identity-affirming care
Location
Local applicants in the Miami area are strongly preferred. While much of the internship experience may be completed virtually, we may be able to provide in-person clinical experience at our Coral Gables or Aventura offices if required by your graduate program or desired as part of your training.
This internship is completed for academic credit through your graduate program. Applicants must be be able to meet their university's internship requirements, and an affiliation agreement with the academic institution must be in place prior to beginning placement.
Exceptional interns may be considered for future opportunities to join Healing Space Therapy Collective as a Registered Mental Health Counselor Intern (RMHCI) following graduation, based on practice needs and performance.
