Job Overview
We are on the lookout for a passionate and detail-oriented Meat Cutter to join our food production team. Responsibilities
- Cut, trim, and prepare various types of meats according to established standards and customer preferences.
- Assist in packaging meat products securely for retail or wholesale distribution.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of all tools, equipment, and work areas in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Provide friendly and knowledgeable customer service by answering questions about meat cuts and preparation tips.
- Follow proper food handling procedures to ensure freshness, safety, and quality of all products.
- Support inventory management by rotating stock and reporting shortages or damaged items promptly.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow during busy hours and special orders.
Skills
- Proven experience in meat cutting, food production, or a related culinary field is highly desirable.
- Strong knife skills with the ability to make precise cuts efficiently.
- Knowledge of food safety standards and proper food handling practices.
- Experience in food preparation, packaging, or kitchen operations within the food industry or restaurant environment.
- Excellent customer service skills with a friendly, approachable attitude.
- Ability to work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Familiarity with culinary techniques related to meat processing and presentation.
