Jones Networking is recruiting for a Production Manager to join a food Manufacturing plant in Alexandria, VA. The Production Manager is responsible for maintaining high production, quality, and yields while ensuring the safest working environment possible. This role requires an essential understanding and control of the production process, accurate record keeping, general line maintenance and staffing. Production Manager Position Summary:
- Check daily production orders to ensure fulfillment of customer orders
- Ensure every position is filled before start-up of production line
- Verify all machinery is performing to the highest standard possible
- Promote safety on a daily basis as well as through periodic safety meetings
- Ensure accurate shipments, rotation of inventory, and proper coding of products
- Provide encouragement to Team Members in order to build the best team possible
- Oversee various processing operations and work with other supervisors in solving problems
- Maintain records of reworked or returned product
Qualifications Summary:
- Minimum 5 years of relative experience in a food manufacturing environment, including at least 2 years in a supervisory role
- Demonstrable experience identifying errors such as improper procedures, hygiene, sanitation and safety
- Strong experience in food production, planning, quality control and cross-departmental work
- Direct experience training, explaining and answering employee questions
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent knowledge of food safety regulations and quality assurance practices
- Ability to optimize production processes and meet KPIs
- Fluency in Spanish and English is required
- Intermediiate computer skills
