Central Hydraulics is a small family owned company and a well-established hydraulic sales and repair facility known throughout the area for high quality workmanship and components. We offer a variety repair solutions for all types of hydraulic & pneumatic systems. We are a fast paced company looking for someone who can operate effectively with little to no supervision and who can manage multiple tasks at once. Duties and Responsibilities
- Set up and operate manual lathes, mills and other machining equipment
- Utilize measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to ensure accuracy
- Perform basic welding tasks as needed for assembly or repairs
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment while adhering to safety protocols
- Disassemble and repair hydraulic cylinders and related components as assigned
- Custom machining without a blueprint
Requirements
We'd love have you as a part of our team. The ideal candidate would have the following skills.
- Must have own tools
- Must be able to duplicate machine cylinders and/or cylinder components from scratch without a blueprint
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Must be able to weld
- Experience with hydraulics is a plus but not required
- Great Team Member
- Willingness to jump in and help where needed
- Attention to Details
- Mechanical Aptitude
- Ability to lift 50-100lbs occasionally and 10-50lbs frequently
- Good written and verbal skills
- Reliability and a dedication to being a hard worker
- Ability to work independently maintaining a safe, efficient and friendly work environment
- Dependable and Honest
Education, Experience, and Licensing Requirements:
- High school degree or equivalent
- Experience working with machine tools or mechanical assembly
- Working knowledge of safety protocols
- Apprenticeship or vocational training preferred
