Commercial Fence Installation Crew Foreman

Job Summary
The Commercial Fence Installation Crew Foreman is a hands-on working supervisor responsible for leading a field crew to construct and repair commercial, industrial, and high-security fencing systems. This role bridges the gap between project management and field execution. The Foreman ensures all projects are completed safely, on schedule, within blueprint specifications, and up to the highest industrial quality standards.
Job Requirements & Qualifications
· Experience: Minimum of 3 years of commercial or industrial fence installation experience, with at least 1–2 years in a crew lead or foreman role.
· Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in the installation of a variety of fence systems, blueprint reading, and jobsite layout. Interpret architectural blueprints, site engineering plans, and commercial work orders.
- Supervise the handling and installation of commercial chain-link fence systems, structural ornamental iron, and anti-climb mesh.
- Actively work alongside the crew digging postholes, setting posts, stretching chain link fabric, and erecting structural components.
- Erect and align large, automated slide gates, cantilever systems, pedestrian access gates, sliding gate systems and overhead track gates.
- Competency in the operation equipment: Trucks, augers, cement mixers, vacuum trucks, high lifts, forklifts.
- Time and data tracking of crew hours. Tracking of daily logs and reports. Pre-task planning.
- Good communication and problem-solving skills.
- Inspect and document maintenance needs of company vehicles, trailers, and power tools to ensure optimal working conditions. Work with General Manager to ensure equipment is being utilized correctly and is in good working order.
· Physical Stamina: Ability to lift at least 50lbs, bend, stoop, reach, and stand for an extended period. Ability to perform sustained heavy physical work and work outdoors in all weather conditions. Ability to work overtime is necessary.
· License & Credentials:
- Valid Oregon driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to pass rigorous background checks and drug screenings for high-security job sites (e.g., schools, airports, military bases, prisons).
Preferred skills:
- Welding experience
- Experience operating skid steers or track loaders, mini excavators, scissor lifts & man lifts
- OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification.
Pay: $30.00 - $38.00 per hour
