The Role
We are looking for a dedicated Direct Support Professional to join us in supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This is more than a "caregiving" job. It's a partnership. You will provide the daily support necessary for our residents to thrive in their homes and stay connected to their communities.
What You’ll Do (Duties)
- Daily Living Support: Provide dignified assistance with personal routines, including grooming, dressing, and mobility.
- Health & Safety: Monitor well-being by tracking vital signs and observing changes in condition.
- Medical Oversight: Carefully manage medication administration in strict accordance with care plans and HIPAA standards.
- Nutritional Care: Prepare healthy meals that respect dietary needs while keeping a clean, welcoming kitchen.
- Documentation: Maintain clear, professional records of progress and incidents, ensuring we meet all regulatory privacy standards.
- Life Enrichment: Be a companion and advocate. You’ll lead social activities and help residents engage with the community to foster true independence.
What We’re Looking For
- A Compassionate Heart: No prior experience is necessary! We provide comprehensive training for the right candidate who has a genuine desire to help others.
- Great Communication: You should be comfortable documenting progress and communicating with healthcare professionals and family members.
- Reliability: Our residents count on you. We need team members who are dependable and committed to their shifts.
- Bonus Points (Nice to have, but not required):
- Previous experience in group homes, HCS/ICF-IID, or home health.
- Experience with dementia care, memory care, or hospice.
- Requirements:
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or the willingness to get certified during orientation).
- Valid driver's license
Pay: $10.60 per hour
