Position Title: Full-Time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (1.0 FTE Equivalent)

Position Summary
Signature Healthcare Brockton Hospital is seeking a Full-time Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to provide high-quality psychiatric care in an acute care hospital setting. This position includes direct patient evaluation and treatment as well as consultation-liaison services to medical, surgical, obstetric, and emergency departments. The role is five weekdays per week.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive psychiatric assessments and provide diagnosis and treatment planning for hospitalized patients.
- Deliver direct psychiatric care, including medication management, admissions and discharges, patient education and therapeutic interventions, on a DMH-licensed adult inpatient psychiatry unit.
- Provide consultation-liaison psychiatry services to medical, surgical, obstetric and emergency services.
- Collaborate closely as a member of multidisciplinary care teams, including physicians, nurses, social workers, and allied health professionals, to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
- Coordinate patient care with patients’ community providers, support agencies and significant others.
- Document clinical encounters in a timely manner in accordance with hospital policies and regulatory standards.
- Participate in and lead care coordination and discharge planning as appropriate.
- Demonstrate sound safety assessments, response and appropriate precautions in treatment planning.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Master’s or Doctoral degree in Nursing with Psychiatric - Mental Health specialization
- Board certification as a Psychiatric-Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP-BC)
- Active Massachusetts RN and APRN licensure
- DEA certification and MA Controlled Substances Registration (MCSR)
- Strong skills in clinical assessment, treatment planning, medication and crisis management
- Ability to manage patients with psychiatric acuity along with medical conditions requiring monitoring or specialty consultation.
- Strong time-management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated success in working in a fast-paced clinical environment that requires effective collaboration and timely and informed decision-making and task completion, and respectful treatment of patients, families and staff of diverse backgrounds
Preferred Experience:
- Prior experience as a psychiatric inpatient provider
- Psychiatric consultation in medical, surgical, obstetric and emergency settings in a general hospital environment

Pay: $140,000.00 - $176,000.00 per year
