Responsibilities
- Process payroll accurately and efficiently using systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, UltiPro, Kronos, Ceridian, or other supported payroll platforms.
- Maintain detailed records of employee hours, wages, benefits, tax deductions, and other payroll-related data through meticulous data entry and account reconciliation.
- Ensure compliance with employment laws, labor regulations, and tax requirements by staying current on relevant legislation.
- Manage benefits administration tasks including enrollment updates, leave processing, and coordination with HRIS (Human Resources Information System) platforms.
- Perform regular account reconciliations for payroll accounts, general ledger entries, and related financial transactions using accounting software like QuickBooks or PeopleSoft.
- Support audits by preparing necessary documentation related to payroll taxes, labor law compliance, and financial reporting.
- Collaborate with HR and finance teams to resolve payroll discrepancies promptly while maintaining strict confidentiality of sensitive information.
Skills
- Extensive experience working with payroll systems such as Workday, ADP, Paychex, Kronos, UltiPro, Ceridian or similar platforms.
- Strong understanding of employment law, labor law compliance, and payroll tax regulations across different jurisdictions.
- Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, PeopleSoft or equivalent financial management tools.
- Knowledge of benefits administration processes and non-profit or governmental accounting practices is a plus.
- Excellent data entry skills with high accuracy (10-key typing proficiency preferred) along with analysis skills for troubleshooting discrepancies.
- Solid foundation in general ledger accounting principles such as double-entry bookkeeping, journal entries, debits & credits, and account reconciliation.
- Ability to interpret complex financial concepts while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: $30.51 - $38.52 per hour
