Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in diesel engine repair and maintenance, with experience working on various types of heavy equipment and vehicles. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can diagnose and repair mechanical issues efficiently while ensuring the highest standards of safety and quality.
Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including diagnostics, troubleshooting, and repairs of mechanical systems.
- Work on a variety of heavy equipment such as excavators, cranes, farm machinery, and tractor-trailers.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to complete repairs and fabrication tasks.
- Conduct inspections and tests on vehicles to identify issues related to transmissions, air brakes, hydraulics, suspension, HVAC systems, shocks & struts, and brake systems.
- Read and interpret schematics to understand vehicle systems and components.
- Maintain accurate records of repairs performed and parts used.
- Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding their vehicle needs.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations while performing all tasks.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or in a similar role within automotive or heavy equipment repair.
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive diagnostics and repair.
- Familiarity with electrical systems and service technician experience is preferred.
- Experience with fabrication techniques is a plus.
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently.
- Proficient in using hand tools, power tools, and diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting as required by the job duties.

Pay: $28.76 - $34.63 per hour
