Responsible for providing appropriate levels of selected, medical and surgical supplies on a daily basis to the Emergency backup system to ensure the department is stocked, appropriately at all times. Transmits medical Supply orders, from in-patient and clinic areas to the Material Center and, other outside vendors. This is a system job description. Facility specific tasks and responsibilities will be listed in the standard operating procedures and guidelines.

Responsibilities:
1. Supervise, oversee, and plan every activity that relates to inventory control in the organization or warehouse environment
2. Ensure all items in the warehouse are appropriately received and stored
3. See to proper inventory to ensure customers' demands are met in the most efficient manner obtainable
4. Work directly with management to bring them up to date regarding stock inflow and outflow
5. Compile inventory information and present it to management for effective decision making, which may include the need for restock, and so on
6. Review balance of inventory and count the items in stock
7. Perform the daily reorder on the inventory coordinating with purchasing to assure that inventory is order in a timely manner
8. Follow up with the purchasing buyer on outstanding purchase orders and expedite back order product.
9. Initiate policy changes regarding inventory in the organization
10. Investigate glitches in the warehouse inventory process and execute necessary improvements towards better business performance, which centers on customer satisfaction
11. Retraining members of staff of the warehouse if necessary
12. Maintain and update PAR level
13. Assure that all daily JIT and inventory orders are process and released
14. Computer literate
15. Must be knowledgeable of the organization inventory technology that would include but not be limited to Infor (Lawson), Hand held, Par Excellence point of use system, TDSS.
16. Must have a basis understanding in the use of the Microsoft Excel, Word
17. Usage reporting, Rasmas, coordinate supply conversions, grammatical errors, p-dad/par ex/other systems maintenance, credit process
Qualifications:
EDUCATION
High School graduate required with Associates degree in computer science or Business Administration preferred.
EXPERIENCE
Three (3) years' experience working in inventory and material services activities or related work. Six (6) years experience working with medical and surgical supplies. Experience with computers.
SPECIAL SKILLS
Strong knowledge of stock supply system for Material's Management. Proven ability to upload and download PDAD's and maintain Par-X system. Ability to ensure all electronic handhelds are maintained according to vendor specifications, Experience with INFOR preferred. Knowledge in Word and Excel. Strong communication skills (verbal and written). Strong math skills
