NextStep Financial Solutions is expanding, and we're looking for motivated individuals to join our team as Tax Preparer.
Our 8-Week Virtual Tax Preparation Training Program begins in September 2026 and is designed to prepare you with the knowledge and confidence to become a successful tax preparer.
No experience is required. We are looking for individuals with strong communication skills, professionalism, and a willingness to learn.
Important Compensation Information
- This is a commission-based position.
- Training is provided but is unpaid.
- Earn commissions on every completed tax return you prepare.
- Receive a $100 referral bonus for each qualified Tax Preparer you refer who successfully joins our team and completes onboarding.

Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate federal and state tax returns.
- Interview clients to gather tax information.
- Maintain strict confidentiality of client information.
- Educate clients on tax credits and deductions.
- Provide professional customer service.
- Stay current with IRS tax law updates.
- Build and maintain your client base.
Qualifications
- No experience necessary—we will train you.
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- High school diploma or GED preferred.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Basic computer and internet skills.
- Reliable internet connection and computer for virtual training.
- Ability to complete required training before preparing returns.
- Professional, dependable, and willing to learn.
