Job Title: Business Development Specialist

Salary: $75-85K plus bonus
Job Summary of the Business Development Specialist: The Business Development Specialist will assist in driving business growth within designated markets. Collaborating with the Market Development Manager, this role will help oversee strategic sales and marketing initiatives, manage key customer relationships, and support project management efforts. The Business Development Specialist will analyze market trends, foster internal partnerships, and execute plans to expand market share through effective sales and marketing strategies.
Job Duties & Responsibilities of the Business Development Specialist:
- Collaborate with Market Development Manager(s) to ensure sales and profit targets are met.
- Take ownership of sales support and customer satisfaction in the Container Handling and Mining/Bulk Material Handling sectors.
- Work with Market Development Manager(s) to oversee special projects and facilitate communication between various internal teams.
- Provide insights to develop and implement strategic market development plans in alignment with sales and marketing objectives.
- Manage key market accounts in coordination with Market Development Manager(s) to drive product offerings, pricing strategies, and distribution channels.
- Offer technical application support to outside sales teams once proficient in product knowledge.
- Assist in developing sales and marketing tools, adapting them as needed for market needs.
- Support Market Development Manager(s) in budget planning and goal-setting initiatives.
- Follow up on quotations, track competitor activity, and liaise with internal teams to stay informed on market trends.
- Coordinate and participate in trade shows to promote business growth and networking opportunities.
- Collaborate with Market Development Manager(s) on pricing policies and discount structures for key market accounts.
- Provide quoting and account management support for specific projects as required.
Education & Experience Requirements of the Business Development Specialist:
- Associate degree in engineering, sales, marketing or business and preferably (3) years of related experience, OR any similar combination of education/training and experience.
- Must be Bilingual or have Latin American Business exposure.
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Outlook, Teams, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Typing a minimum of 50 words per minute is preferred.
- Experience in sales, account management, and market development support preferred.
- Willingness to travel occasionally, with potential for increased travel over time.
- Ability to think strategically and drive sales initiatives in targeted markets.
