Maintenance Assistant
Creative Learning Childcare is looking for a Maintenance Assistant to help keep our childcare center safe, clean, functional, and looking its best! This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working with their hands, fixing small problems, putting things together, and taking pride in maintaining a well-kept building.
Position Details
Part-time: Approximately 15 hours per week
Schedule: 1-2 days per week
Pay: $15.00 per hour
Flexible scheduling
Responsibilities May Include
Making minor repairs and general building maintenance
Replacing or repairing faucets, doorknobs, cabinet hardware, brackets, and other small fixtures
Assembling furniture, shelving, equipment, and other items
Hanging or installing basic items throughout the facility
Touch-up painting and other minor cosmetic repairs
Light cleaning and general upkeep of indoor spaces
Basic landscaping and outdoor property maintenance
Helping keep playgrounds, walkways, and outdoor areas neat and presentable
Identifying maintenance needs and bringing larger repair concerns to management's attention
Helping with occasional projects around the childcare center as needed
We're Looking For Someone Who Is:
Dependable and responsible
Comfortable using hand and power tools
Able to troubleshoot and handle minor repairs independently
A hands-on person who enjoys fixing and building things
Detail-oriented and takes pride in their work
Able to work independently with minimal supervision
Comfortable with light cleaning and outdoor maintenance
Professional and respectful in a childcare environment
Able to safely perform the physical requirements of the position
Previous maintenance, handyman, custodial, landscaping, construction, or general repair experience is required.
