Contract/Salary: $200/day (first 20 days), beginning on the 21st day pay is based on the 25-26 TEA Salary Schedule

Description:
This is a temporary position beginning on September 1, 2026 and will continue through December 18, 2026 with the possibility of extension. Duties include supervising students within the classroom, on campus, and at school events, providing a safe learning environment, and establishing positive relationships with the school community.
Qualifications:

Washington State Teacher Certification with appropriate endorsement.

Successful teaching experience.

Knowledge of subject matter in classroom instruction.

Successful Washington State Patrol and Federal Bureau of Investigation Fingerprint clearance.

Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal or Principal designee.

Effectively utilize district technology.

Use effective classroom management techniques by establishing, sharing, and maintaining standards of pupil behavior, consistent with building and district policy.

Evaluate pupils’ academic and social growth, maintain appropriate records and prepare progress reports and report cards.

Maintain a regular attendance report and enter grades into the designated system as per district policy.

Attend staff and PLC meetings.

Develop, maintain and follow frameworks consistent with courses being offered.

Comply with district policies, rules and regulations.

Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Requirements:
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.

Employees must have the ability to sit and stand for extended periods of time.

Physical ability to lift 25 pounds to shoulder height.

Ability to bend, stoop, climb stairs, and reach overhead.

Ability to effectively manage student transition to a variety of locations (e.g. P.E., recess, buses and lunch) throughout the day.
