Tip Top Roofing is seeking an experienced, dependable Roof Service Technician / Inspector to join our growing team.
This is not a production roofing or door-to-door sales position. Your primary focus will be inspecting roofs, diagnosing problems, completing quality repairs, and providing excellent customer service. You'll also have the opportunity to earn additional income by pricing and selling small repair jobs to customers who need them.
This position is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting roofing problems, solving issues the right way, and working independently. You'll inspect residential and commercial roofs, identify the source of leaks, provide repair recommendations, complete service work, and price smaller repair jobs directly for customers.
In addition to your hourly pay, you'll earn commission on qualifying repair work that you sell, giving you the opportunity to significantly increase your income.
You'll also occasionally assist by transporting roofing materials, tools, or supplies between our office and job sites to help keep our crews running efficiently.

Responsibilities
- Perform residential and commercial roof inspections
- Diagnose roof leaks and determine the source of roofing issues
- Meet with customers and explain repair recommendations
- Prepare pricing for small roofing repairs and maintenance work
- Earn commission on qualifying repair work that you sell
- Complete roofing repairs including:
- Shingle replacement
- Pipe boot replacement
- Flashing repairs
- Ridge cap repairs
- Roof maintenance
- Minor leak repairs
- Small decking and carpentry repairs
- Inspect gutters, skylights, siding, flashing, and other exterior components
- Take detailed photos and document inspection findings
- Communicate findings and completed work with the office
- Maintain a clean and organized company vehicle, tools, and equipment
- Occasionally transport roofing materials and supplies between the warehouse and job sites
- Deliver outstanding customer service while professionally representing Tip Top Roofing
- Follow all company safety policies and OSHA requirements
Qualifications
- Minimum 2 years of roofing experience required
- Ability to diagnose roof leaks and complete repairs independently
- Residential roofing experience required
- Commercial roofing experience preferred
- Experience with asphalt shingles required
- Experience with metal roofing and low-slope roofing systems preferred
- Basic carpentry skills preferred
- Comfortable working on steep roofs and ladders
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds
- Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Comfortable discussing repair options and pricing with customers

- Asphalt shingle roofing
- Metal roofing
- TPO, EPDM, and Modified Bitumen roofing systems
- Leak detection and diagnostics
- Flashing installation and repair
- General exterior repairs
- Roofing service and maintenance
- Estimating and customer-facing repair sales
