Join our dynamic team as a Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Apprentice and kick-start your career in the vital field of building climate control! Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of HVAC systems, including air conditioning units, boilers, and refrigeration equipment.
- Read and interpret schematics, technical manuals, and HVAC system diagrams to support troubleshooting and repairs.
- Support field service operations by diagnosing issues with mechanical components using tools such as ohmmeters and other diagnostic equipment.
- Perform routine property maintenance tasks related to HVAC/R systems and plumbing to ensure optimal operation.
- Aid in the repair of appliances and mechanical equipment, including welding or basic equipment repair when necessary.
- Support refrigerant handling procedures for refrigeration systems such as ammonia refrigeration setups.
- Maintain accurate documentation of service activities, repairs performed, and system inspections for compliance and future reference.
Qualifications
- Prior experience or training in construction, property maintenance, or mechanical fields is preferred.
- Service technician experience with HVAC/R systems or appliance repair is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of schematics, HVAC design principles, plumbing systems, refrigeration technology, and mechanical components.
- Familiarity with field service operations including troubleshooting using diagnostic tools like ohmmeters.
- Basic welding skills or boiler maintenance experience is a plus.
- Ability to read technical diagrams and work safely with refrigerants such as ammonia refrigeration systems.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; experience operating a <PERSON> driver vehicle is advantageous.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with a proactive attitude toward learning new skills in HVAC/R maintenance and repair.
