Responsibilities:
- Provide outstanding customer service that is dedicated to exceeding customer expectations and fostering lasting relationships.
- Greet customers and facilitate the customer experience.
- Engage the customer in meaningful conversations to understand their specific needs, preferences, and budget constraint.
- Provide expert guidance and unbiased product recommendations to customers based on their individual requirements.
- Inform customers of Shooters Emporium's services, discounts, exclusive offers, and sales promotions.
- Answer customer questions regarding product pricing, features, benefits, and availability.
- Assist customers in selecting appropriate ammunition, accessories, and related products.
- Maintain an organized and visually appealing firearms display area, ensuring products are accurately labeled and priced.
- Answer phones to assist and answer customer questions.
- Handle customer inquiries, complaints, and issues in a professional and courteous manner.
- Process 4473's for firearm and NFA transfers ensuring accuracy and compliance with federal, state, and local laws.
- Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local laws and regulations regarding firearms, NFA sales and safety.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently, handling payments and necessary documentation.
- Process special orders, operate the POS register, and resolve return issues as needed.
- Stay updated on current firearm trends, models, and industry news to provide informed recommendations.
- Actively listen to customer concerns, address any questions or issues promptly, and provide appropriate resolutions or escalate to the supervisor, if required.
- Conduct Virtual Range customer check-in and out in an efficient and friendly manner.
- Maintain the Virtual Range timer for proper tracking of customer time.
- Stock, clean, and organize the store.
- Miscellaneous tasks related to the daily operations of the retail store.
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required; additional education or training in firearms safety is a plus.
- Previous experience in firearms and NFA sales is preferred.
- Knowledge of federal, state, and local laws and regulations regarding firearm sales and transfers.
- Firearm Instructor credentials and experience desired for future position.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to engage customers effectively.
- Demonstrated ability to actively listen, ask relevant questions, and provide thorough and articulate responses.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Proven track record of consistently producing error-free work and meeting quality standards.
- Ability to understand, recall and follow complex compliance regulations and the ability to work with highly confidential information.
- Proficiency in using computer systems for transaction processing and record keeping.
- Strong commitment to maintain a safe and secure shopping environment.
- Demonstrated behaviors must reflect integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Ability to work flexible schedule and hours necessary to open and/or close the store including nights, weekends, and holidays.
Requirements:
- Must be 21 years of age.
- Must pass a Drug/Alcohol screening prior to employment.
- Must pass a Criminal Background Check and MVR.
- Must be able to stand for prolonged periods of time.
- Ability to lift, push, and/or pull aa minimum of 30 pounds.
- Must be able to verbally communicate effectively with others (in-person and via electronic devices).
