Position Summary:
This position is responsible for transporting goods locally in accordance with company guidelines and DOT regulations; duties related to loading, unloading, and transfer of incoming and outgoing product; and responsible for day-to-day warehousing functions at the Livingston Distribution Center.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Transport deliveries/pickups locally according to schedule in a safe, responsible manner, and in accordance with company procedures and applicable DOT regulations.
- Stock products in distribution center utilizing equipment and manual labor.
- Always employ safety measures, both in the warehouse and in the vehicle.
- Maintain accurate records in all warehouse and transportation functions, including but not limited to shipping, receiving and delivery documentation.
- Perform daily DOT pre-trip inspections for all vehicles in accordance with checklist.
- Maintain vehicles in a neat and clean manner; and report any necessary repairs, all accidents, damage, and malfunctions to management.
- Provide support to volunteer drivers including but not limited to donation and vehicle documentation.
- Maintain a neat and orderly workplace which includes but is not limited to: moving pallets, sweeping, general office cleaning, and disposing of debris. Follow assigned daily zone cleaning schedule.
- Follow proper procedures when using chemical cleaners and power equipment.
- Maintain proper documentation in the vehicle including valid/current proof of insurance and registration of the vehicle.
- Participate in the development, implementation, and maintenance of a sanitation and food safety program to ensure compliance with AIB, USDA, FDA, State and local health codes. Follow safety regulations relating to OSHA or other organizational-related regulations.

Education/Experience
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Chauffeurs license required.
- Excellent driving record.
Required Skills/Abilities
- Familiarity with computerized inventory systems (desirable).
- Previous food handling experience (desirable).
- ServeSafe certification
- Attention to detail.
- Critical thinking skills.

- Punctual and able to manage time efficiently
- Able to consistently follow instructions and ask for assistance if needed.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers, donors, volunteers, partner agencies and the general public.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Ability to operate Hi-Lo, pallet jack, and other industrial machines (training may be provided)
Technology Skills/Abilities
- Familiarity with virtual meeting platforms (Teams, Zoom, etc.)
- Some proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, specifically Outlook, Excel and Word.

Pay: $17.00 - $19.00 per hour
