Requirements
- 3 + years of bridal gown sewing experience
- 3 + years of Bridal gown alterations and fittings experience
- Ability to sew zippers, buttons, fabric linings, lace and beading
- Great attention to detail working on the wedding dresses
- Ability to take accurate measurements
Ability to perform fittings with brides to ensure the perfect fit
Alterations Specialist Responsibilities:
- Perform customer brides measurements and fittings and alterations.
- Have very good sewing skills and and some knowledge of bridal gown fabrication.
- Press, steam, and spot clean dresses
- Check and adjust dress fit and dress condition before final delivery to customer
- Fill out alterations tickets accurately
- Communicate sewing supply needs to order sewing items necessary
- Manual dexterity to sew and perform fittings
- Ability to move throughout the store and perform brides fittings. Lift up to 10 pounds, stoop, kneel, crouch, twist, stand, and reach with arms
