Experienced Underground Mine Electrician/Mechanic
Location: Jennmar Services
JENNMAR Services is seeking an experienced Underground Mine Electrician/Mechanic to join our team in Jennmar Services. The ideal candidate will have strong underground mining electrical experience, including longwall systems, PLCs, and troubleshooting high-voltage mining equipment.
Responsibilities
- Set up, troubleshoot, and repair low-voltage sensors
- Troubleshoot and work with PLC systems
- Diagnose and repair electrical systems from 110V to 4,160V
- Troubleshoot and repair underground mining equipment
- Perform electrical and mechanical maintenance
- Operate mining equipment as needed
- Assist with general manual labor and maintenance duties
- Follow all MSHA and site-specific safety requirements
Qualifications
- 5+ years of electrical experience required
- Underground mining experience required
- Longwall experience required
- Current MSHA Electrical Card
- Must complete Experienced Miner Training prior to hire
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and understand electrical schematics
- Ability to work safely in an underground mining environment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
