Event Installation Assistant
Independent Contractor (1099) | $15–20/hour | On Call, Event-Based | Flexible Weekend Schedule
This role is ideal for someone looking for flexible, event-based weekend work and who enjoys being part of a collaborative, fast-paced production team. We are looking for 2-3 people to fill this position to support our growing business.

At The Pink Peony Co., we design and install luxury faux floral experiences for weddings and special events throughout Pennsylvania and surrounding areas. From large-scale floral installations to intimate celebrations, every event is an opportunity to create something beautiful.
As an Event Installation Assistant, you'll work alongside our Event Production Lead to help transform venues with exceptional attention to detail and care.
What You'll Be Doing
You'll support our team by:
- Loading and unloading floral arrangements, décor, candles, furniture, and event equipment
- Assisting with the installation of floral designs, draping, backdrops, candle styling, furniture, signage, and other event décor
- Styling event spaces according to detailed design plans
- Assisting with ceremony-to-reception transitions when needed
- Breaking down, packing, and organizing inventory after each event
- Occasionally assisting with studio preparation, inventory organization, and event packing before busy weekends
- Working efficiently as a team to deliver an exceptional client experience

Experience in events, hospitality, retail, warehouse, construction, moving, or another hands-on environment is helpful, but we're happy to train the right person.

Compensation & Schedule
Starting Pay: $15–20/hour (based on experience)
Position Type: Independent Contractor (1099) - Temporary, Flexible
Start Date: As soon as possible. This is an event-based position, with the majority of work taking place during September and October on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays. Occasional weekday hours may be available for event preparation and installations. Ongoing opportunities may be available during the 2027 wedding season based on performance and business needs.
Location: Based in the Allentown, PA (Lower Macungie) area.
Travel: Events take place throughout the Lehigh Valley, South Central Pennsylvania, Southeastern Pennsylvania, Philadelphia, New Jersey, Maryland, and surrounding areas.
Experience driving cargo vans or box trucks, or a willingness to learn, is a plus.
Physical Requirements
This is an active, hands-on position. You should be comfortable:
- Lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
- Standing, walking, bending, and climbing stairs for extended periods
- Loading and unloading event inventory
- Working both indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions
