Overview
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Assistant General Manager/ Assistant Manager to lead our team in delivering exceptional service and maintaining operational excellence in our establishment. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in the food industry, with a focus on quick service and fine dining experiences. This role requires a hands-on leader who can effectively manage staff, oversee daily operations, and ensure customer satisfaction while adhering to food safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily restaurant operations, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Manage inventory control, including ordering supplies and minimizing waste.
- Train, develop, and supervise staff to deliver high-quality service and maintain operational standards.
- Implement effective budgeting strategies to optimize profitability.
- Utilize POS systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS) for cash handling and sales tracking.
- Foster a positive work environment through team management and leadership.
- Conduct interviews and hire qualified staff to build a strong team.
- Ensure exceptional customer service by addressing guest inquiries and resolving complaints promptly.
- Maintain high standards of food preparation, handling, and production across all kitchen operations.
- Coordinate with kitchen management to ensure timely food service during peak hours.
Skills
- Proven experience in restaurant management or a similar role within the food service industry.
- Strong culinary skills with experience in cooking and food preparation.
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in food handling.
- Excellent leadership abilities with a focus on training & development of staff.
- Proficient in cash handling and inventory management techniques.
- Experience with various POS systems (Aloha POS, Micros POS) is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a commitment to guest satisfaction.
- Background in hospitality management or related fields is advantageous.
