Senior Construction Manager (Electrical & Instrumentation)

M-F work Schedule 40 hours per week, no overnight Travel
Ability to Work in a N Portland Field Office and Remote
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager with a background in electrical and instrumentation systems to support capital improvement projects at water and wastewater facilities. This role works closely with project teams and contractors to ensure projects are constructed, tested, commissioned, and completed in accordance with project requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the contractors facilitation commissioning of electrical and instrumentation systems on water and wastewater treatment projects.
- Monitor construction progress and occasionally perform site visits to verify quality, compliance, and workmanship.
- Review project plans, specifications, submittals, and RFIs with a focus on electrical, instrumentation, and commissioning requirements.
- Work with contractors and engineers to resolve technical issues during design and construction.
- Coordinate testing and commissioning activities from preconstruction through project closeout.
- Track commissioning progress and ensure all required testing and documentation are completed.
- Assist with commissioning meetings, documentation, and final commissioning reports.
- Collaborate with operations, maintenance, design, and construction teams to deliver successful projects.
Qualifications
- Experience in activities for electrical and instrumentation systems. PLC's, Motor Controls etc
- Preference for electrical license : LME or higher but applicable experience is acceptable
- Background in water/wastewater, industrial, or process facility construction preferred.
- Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, P&IDs, and technical documents.
- Experience reviewing submittals, RFIs, and commissioning documentation.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with multiple project teams.
*There is no overnight travel, 40 hours per work with a Monday-Friday schedule and the ability to work from home or in a field office*
This position requires a valid drivers licence with a good driving record as well as the ability to pass a background check in accordance with employment laws.
