Job description:
This is a full-time, Tuesday - Friday, 35 hour per week position in our fast paced and growing Nuclear Cardiology department. Candidate must possess an ARRT (N) or CNMT as well as current Massachusetts state license, CPR certificate, and at least 2 years Nuclear Cardiology experience required. Demonstrated ability to work independently in operation of the Department. Performs various nuclear cardiology imaging procedures. Candidate should possess basic knowledge of cardiac arrhythmias, cardiac medications and IV skills.
- Function as a Nuclear Technologist Member
- Receives patients and explains procedures for the purpose of obtaining cooperation and ensuring comfort during performance of the procedure.
- Prepares the patient for the nuclear cardiology examination by obtaining vital signs, brief medical history, and placement of IV line.
- Along with the Physician’s Assistant, performs the stress component of procedure. Administers radiopharmaceutical isotope at appropriate intervals.
- Operates imaging and related equipment for routine studies. Acquires computer generated data for patient study. Works to organize this information for reading by the physician(s).
- Receives and checks all isotope shipments for contamination according to radiation safety regulations. Performs various tasks associated with receiving, processing, distributing, and storing radioactive materials. Maintains department supply inventory.
Physical Requirements:
- Ambulate patients to Nuclear Cardiology Department
- Lift and carry approximately 25lb.
- Assist patient on and off camera bed for appropriate positioning for optimal imaging.

Pay: $44.00 - $51.00 per hour
