Overview
Ithaca's top-rated (Google and Yelp) artisan pizza restaurant is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented individuals to join our culinary team. We prefer you have restaurant experience and a culinary passion. The ideal candidate will be able to prepare and present exceptional dishes, provide exceptional service to our guests, and maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment. The successful candidate will be able to work well in a fast-paced environment, communicate effectively, and be willing to help with other tasks as needed.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items to the highest standards, ensuring presentation and quality meet the restaurant's high expectations.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Use knife skills to chop, slice, and dice ingredients as needed.
- Assist with food preparation and presentation, including boxing and garnishing.
- Provide exceptional service to guests, ensuring their experience is enjoyable, memorable and consistent.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure seamless service and maintain a positive and respectful work environment.

- Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Ability to lift up to 30 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
- Willingness to help with other tasks as needed and a positive attitude.
Qualifications
- Proven culinary experience with a focus on pizza preparation and cooking techniques
- Strong knife skills and food handling knowledge
- Previous restaurant experience, demonstrating effective food service and meal preparation
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with team members and customers
- Familiarity with sound sanitation procedures and code requirements.
