Overview
The Rehabilitation Specialist plays a crucial role in supporting individuals in their recovery and rehabilitation journey. This position involves working closely with clients to assess their needs, develop personalized treatment plans, and provide therapeutic interventions. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in counseling and therapy, with a focus on gender issues, art therapy, and psychopharmacology.
Duties
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate clients' physical, emotional, and social needs.
- Develop individualized rehabilitation plans that address specific goals and objectives.
- Provide counseling and support to clients, utilizing techniques such as gender issues counseling and art therapy.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure holistic care for clients.
- Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to optimize outcomes.
- Facilitate group therapy sessions and workshops to promote skill development and peer support.
- Maintain accurate documentation of client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes.
- Stay informed about best practices in rehabilitation and participate in ongoing professional development.
Requirements
- A degree in psychology, social work, or a related field is required; relevant certifications or licenses are preferred. Two or more years of experience working with individuals with severe mental illness required.
- Experience in gender issues counseling is highly desirable.
- Familiarity with art therapy techniques is a plus.
- Knowledge of psychopharmacology principles is beneficial for effective client support.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with diverse populations.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
