Duties
- Provide daily care and supervision for dogs staying in the kennel, including feeding, watering, cleaning, and exercising.
- Monitor animals’ behavior to ensure their safety and well-being, utilizing animal handling and restraint techniques as needed.
- Maintain detailed records of each pet’s health status, feeding schedules, and behavioral observations.
- Communicate effectively with pet owners regarding their pets’ conditions and any special needs or concerns.
- Assist with basic animal care tasks if required, including administering medications or treatments.
Skills
- Strong animal handling skills to ensure safety for pets and staff.
- prefer but not required experience in dog training to enhance the quality of care provided.
- Knowledge of pet sitting practices to ensure pets feel secure during their stay.
- Customer service skills to engage positively with pet owners and address their questions confidently.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting when necessary for cleaning supplies or equipment movement.
