Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated and skilled Equipment Mechanic to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspecting, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of construction equipment and vehicles to ensure optimal performance and safety. Your expertise will help keep our operations running smoothly, supporting various projects and ensuring that all equipment meets safety standards and manufacturer specifications. This position offers an exciting opportunity for hands-on work with diverse machinery, fostering growth in mechanical and diagnostic skills within a fast-paced environment. As you learn, we will need assistance with sample making and occasionally go to the field to diagnose and fix equipment issues.
Duties
- Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on construction machinery, farm equipment, industrial tools, and vehicle fleets.
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic issues using schematics, diagnostic tools, and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) guidelines.
- Conduct welding, fabrication, and assembly tasks to repair or modify equipment as needed.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, soldering equipment, and other specialized equipment to complete repairs efficiently.
- Maintain detailed service records and ensure all repairs comply with safety regulations and manufacturer standards.
Requirements
- Proven experience as an Equipment Mechanic or Service Technician with a strong background in equipment maintenance.
- Dealership experience or familiarity with OEM parts and schematics is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in electrical diagnostics, automotive diagnostics, diesel engine repair, transmission work, hydraulics, suspension systems, and tire service.
- Ability to read technical manuals and schematics accurately; experience with electrical systems is a plus.
- Strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent troubleshooting skills; capable of working independently or as part of a team.
- Skilled in welding, fabrication, alignment procedures, heavy lifting techniques, and the use of various hand tools and power tools.
- Ordering supplies for machines, crews and shop.
- Learning of materials for samples
- Detailed notes of work done and basic computer skills

Pay: $30.00 - $33.00 per hour
