Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Journeyman Electrician to join our dynamic team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of electrical systems across industrial and commercial settings. Responsibilities
- Install, inspect, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems in industrial and commercial environments, ensuring adherence to safety procedures and local electrical codes.
- Read and interpret electrical blueprints, schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical manuals to accurately execute projects.
- Perform electrical diagnostics using tools such as ohmmeters and multimeters to identify faults and develop effective solutions.
- Conduct high-voltage electrical wiring and install low-voltage systems in accordance with NFPA 70 (National Fire Protection Association) standards and NEC (National Electrical Code) requirements.
- Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment to complete wiring, conduit work, panel installations, and system upgrades efficiently.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical systems including programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial electrical systems, and commercial electrical infrastructure.
- Collaborate with team members on construction sites or renovation projects to ensure timely completion of electrical work while maintaining safety protocols.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Journeyman Electrician with a strong background in industrial and commercial electrical systems.
- Valid journeyman electrician license or certification recognized by local authorities.
- Extensive knowledge of NFPA 70 compliance standards, NEC regulations, and local electrical codes.
- Demonstrated ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings accurately.
- Hands-on experience with high-voltage wiring, low-voltage systems, troubleshooting electrical issues, and performing diagnostics.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as wire strippers, pliers, screwdrivers; power tools including drills; testing equipment like ohmmeters; and other essential electrical tools.
- Strong understanding of industrial electrical systems including PLCs and automation controls.
- Construction site experience with the ability to adapt quickly to changing project needs while maintaining safety standards.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with a proactive approach to troubleshooting complex electrical problems.
