About the Role
Reporting to the Operations Maintenance Manager, you’ll be responsible for inspecting, maintaining, and repairing crematory equipment and facility systems across multiple locations. This is a dynamic, travel-heavy role where your expertise ensures operational excellence, safety, and reliability.
What You’ll Do

Inspect, test, and troubleshoot crematory machinery and building systems

Diagnose issues and perform preventative maintenance and repairs

Repair or replace worn components before breakdowns occur

Use diagnostic tools, power tools, and hand tools to complete repairs

Interpret equipment manuals, schematics, and blueprints to plan work

Maintain accurate service reports and documentation

Order parts and supplies as needed

Provide recommendations to improve equipment performance and reliability

Train on-site staff on basic maintenance and efficient machine operation

Support general facility maintenance including electrical, HVAC, and basic carpentry
What You Bring
-
High School Diploma, G.E.D., or trade/technical certification

Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience (HVAC, controls, PLCs, refractory, or similar)

Hands on boiler experience

Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel up to 80%

Experience reading electrical schematics and using diagnostic tools (preferred)

Working knowledge of general building maintenance and repairs
