**Job Summary:**
We are seeking a LONG TERM- fun, polished and punctual Orthodontic Assistant to join our amazing team!
Dental/Orthodontic knowledge and training is required. Ortho training can be provided to Dental assistants.
This is a career LONG TERM position that we all take very seriously- but still have fun!
**Duties:**
- Assist the orthodontist during orthodontic procedures
- Take dental x-rays, intraoral photos, and iTero scanning
- Prepare treatment rooms and sterilize instruments following infection control guidelines
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene practices and post-treatment care
- Maintain patient records and documentation accurately in electronic health records systems. Proper spelling and punctuation a must for Orthodontic charting.
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, and managing inventory
**Qualifications:**
- Certification or diploma from an accredited dental assisting program is a plus but not required!
- Knowledge of Invisalign and iTero scanning is a plus.
- Familiarity working with pediatric and Adult patients is a plus
