JOB DESCRIPTION:
The High School Supplemental Academic Interventionist, who is appropriately certified, will work with classroom teachers to provide targeted academic support to identified students struggling with key skills and grade-level content standards in math. The interventionist may assist the classroom teacher in assessing student needs, develop individualized or small group intervention plans, and monitor progress to ensure that all students have the opportunity to meet grade-level expectations. The goal is to improve student achievement, close learning gaps, and foster academic success through data-driven, evidence-based strategies.
QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree in education, math or a related field (Master's degree preferred).

Valid teaching certification in math or a related subject area.

Minimum of 3 years of successful teaching experience, preferably in a high school setting.

Experience working with students who require academic interventions and support.

Strong knowledge of assessment tools, data analysis, and differentiated instruction.

Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Expertise in implementing multi-tiered systems of support (MTSS).

Ability to use technology to enhance learning and intervention strategies.

Experience in creating an inclusive and supportive learning environment for diverse learners.

Maintain regular, reliable, and punctual attendance.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
-
Work closely with classroom teachers to identify students needing intervention in math based on data from assessments, classroom performance, and teacher recommendations.

Co-develop intervention plans tailored to individual students or small groups.

Align intervention strategies with the school's curriculum and instructional goals.

Provide targeted, small group, or one-on-one academic support in math during designated periods or pull-out sessions.

Utilize differentiated instructional strategies and evidence-based intervention programs to meet diverse student needs.

Address gaps in foundational skills and assist students in mastering content standards.

Administer diagnostic assessments to identify student strengths and areas of need.

Track and analyze student progress using formative assessments, benchmarks, and other relevant data.

Adjust intervention plans as necessary based on student progress and changing needs.

Communicate regularly with school staff regarding student progress and strategies for continued support.

SALARY: $50.00/hour
